Since July 01 2022 the Department of Financial Technologies has been added to the structure of educational and scientific departments of the FinU, becoming a part of the Faculty of Finance.
This Department meets the demand for innovations in financial services.
These innovations, known as financial technology (or fintech), generate a lot of genuine professional interest. The number of searches for the term “fintech” in the Google search engine has increased more than 30 times in the last 6 years.
There are different focuses on the use of IT: some expect new technologies to completely transform traditional financial institutions, giving businesses and households access to more convenient and personalized services; entrepreneurs are also finding practical applications that go far beyond finance, and these new technologies can and are already transforming other sectors.
The new Department’s mission is to immerse itself in the world of financial innovation, to study the technologies and the impact of their application in different businesses.
We see great opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation with both the developers of these new technologies and their direct consumers.
Soon we plan to present to our colleagues the main directions of the Department’s development both in the educational sphere of the FinU, as well as in the scientific sphere and in the continuing education!
